SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support (Year 2 & Year 3) Primary School | Hainault, Redbrudge Start Date: January 2026 Salary: £90-£95 per day (PAYE)

Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hainault, Redbridge, which is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support across Year 2 and Year 3 from January 2026.

This role will involve supporting a pupil with Autism and physical needs, helping them to access learning, build independence and thrive both academically and socially. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support throughout the school day, adapting activities and resources to meet individual needs.

Key responsibilities will include:

Providing consistent 1:1 support within the classroom and during structured interventions Supporting learning across the curriculum in Years 2 and 3 Assisting with physical needs in a respectful and supportive manner Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement, and independence Working collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals Creating a safe, calm, and inclusive learning environment

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant (desirable) A good understanding of Autism and inclusive practice A calm, empathetic and adaptable approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A genuine commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs
