About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join the school on a full-time basis. This SEN Teaching Assistant role involves working closely with students who require additional support, both in and out of the classroom.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of needs, helping them to access the curriculum, develop confidence, and engage positively with their learning.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support as an SEN Teaching Assistant to students with additional needs
* Work 1:1 and with small groups as an SEN Teaching Assistant to support learning and development
* Support students with SEN such as ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties as an SEN Teaching Assistant
* Assist teachers with adapting lessons and classroom activities
* Help manage behaviour and promote a calm, supportive learning environment
* Carry out general duties expected of an SEN Teaching Assistant in a secondary school setting
About You
* Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or supporting individuals with SEN is highly desirable
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A proactive and adaptable approach to working as an SEN Teaching Assistant
* A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
