Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant\nLocation: Southampton, Hampshire\nContract Type: Full-time / Part-time (term-time only)\nSalary: £88.95 - £104.71 per day\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are seeking a caring, patient, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to work in schools across the Southampton and Hampshire area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities.\n\nAs a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored support to pupils, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProvide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, physical disabilities and social, emotional, and mental health needs.\n\nCreate an inclusive and nurturing learning environment where every child feels valued and supported.\n\nWork collaboratively with teaching staff, external professionals, and families to promote positive outcomes.\n\nSupport pupils in developing social and emotional skills as well as academic progress.\n\nAbout You\n\nWe are looking for someone who:\n\nHas previous experience working with children or young people with SEND (school-based, care setting or other relevant settings).\n\nDemonstrates patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.\n\nIs resilient, adaptable, and able to use initiative in supporting pupils' needs.\n\nIs passionate about helping every child achieve success, both academically and personally.\n\nWhat We Offer\n\nOngoing CPD training. \n\nThe chance to make a genuine difference in children's lives every day.\n\nDay to day supply and temp to perm opportunities.
