SEND English Teacher

Location: Calderdale Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Part time (4 days per week until the end of the academic year

We are currently working with a school in the Calderdale area who are looking to recruit a Teacher of English to work to start ASAP and work until the end of the academic year. The school caters for students with Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs and range in age between 8 and 16 years old. This is a part time role, working 4 days per week and has the potential to become a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated English lessons for SEND students Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and progress Use a variety of teaching strategies to meet diverse learner needs Assess and mark student work, providing constructive feedback to aid development Work collaboratively with school staff and contribute to pastoral care and extracurricular activitiesCandidate Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (PGCE, SCITT, etc.) Recent teaching experience in UK primary schools Experience delivering lessons to children with a range of SEND Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Completed Level 1 Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete online) Legal right to work in the UKWhat We Offer
