SEND One-to-One Teaching Assistant (Part-Time)

Location: Chorley PR7 Contract: Part-Time, Term Time Only Start Date: 16th March 2026

We are seeking a committed, patient, and enthusiastic SEND One-to-One Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will work closely with a pupil who has Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, providing tailored support to help them access the curriculum and thrive in the school environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one support to a pupil with SEND, following their individual support plan. Assist the pupil in accessing learning activities, adapting resources and strategies where needed. Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to ensure consistent and effective provision. Promote the pupil's independence, confidence, and social development. Support with behaviour management in a calm and constructive manner. Maintain clear and accurate records of progress and observations. Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
