Contract: Full Academic Year (with view to go permanent)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Pay: £180 – £230 per day PAYE (Negotiable)

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join a specialist setting in Bromley (BR1), supporting pupils in Key Stage 1 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated learning needs.

This is a full-time position for the academic year, with the strong possibility of a permanent contract for the right candidate. You will play a vital role in delivering personalised, engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of young learners with ASD.

The school offers a nurturing and structured environment where pupils are supported to develop communication skills, emotional regulation, independence, and a love of learning. You will be working alongside an experienced SEND leadership team, skilled support staff, and external professionals to ensure every child reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver differentiated lessons suited to pupils with ASD

Create a structured, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment

*

Use a range of communication strategies (e.g. visual supports, structured routines)

*

Monitor and assess progress in line with EHCP targets

*

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents

The Ideal Candidate Will:

*

Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent recognised qualification

*

Have experience teaching pupils with ASD and/or additional needs (or a strong interest in SEND)

*

Be patient, reflective, and adaptable in their approach

*

Demonstrate strong behaviour management and communication skills
