SEN Teacher - Full-Time

A well‑established special school in South London is looking for a passionate and committed SEN Teacher to join their team. The school supports pupils aged 7-18 with a broad range of additional needs and varying levels of ability, including complex needs. All pupils have an EHCP, and the school receives a high volume of referrals due to its exceptional reputation.
This is a highly sought‑after setting with a warm, family‑focused staff culture. Collaboration is central to their approach, and weekly staff training is offered - with agency teachers encouraged to take part - ensuring continuous growth and development.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am-4:00pm Location: South London Start Date: ASAP

About the School
Primarily supports pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). Typically has 8-9 small classes, each with around 6 students. Some pupils are non‑verbal or present with complex needs. A nurturing environment committed to holistic development and progress.
Ideal Candidates Will Be:
Qualified Teachers with QTS and experience working in SEN settings. Educators who are passionate about supporting learners with a range of needs. Team‑oriented individuals who thrive in a warm, community‑driven school environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver personalised, engaging lessons tailored to pupils' individual needs. Create a safe, structured, and motivating classroom environment. Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and families to ensure well‑rounded progress. Encourage independence, confidence, and meaningful development in each learner.
Requirements
UK‑recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent). Previous experience working with pupils with SEN. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through us). Two employment references covering the last 24 months.
