Academics Educational Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with a hearing impairment in a welcoming SEND school in Halifax.

This rewarding role is ideal for a patient, positive, and caring individual who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

The Role:

Provide 1:1 support for a child with a hearing impairment

Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible learning activities

Support the pupil with academic work and classroom participation

Encourage confidence, independence, and positive social interaction

Work closely with teaching staff and SEND professionals to ensure the pupil's needs are met

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Be kind, nurturing, and positive in their approach

Have experience working with children or young people with SEND (desirable but not essential)

Be patient, supportive, and committed to inclusive education

Have strong communication and teamwork skills

Be available to start after the Easter break
