Academics Educational Recruitment is currently recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to support a visually impaired pupil on a 1:1 basis within a specialist provision in Huddersfield. This role is available for an immediate start and offers the opportunity to make a real impact on a child's confidence, independence and learning.
You will work closely with the class teacher and SEND team, supporting the pupil throughout the school day to ensure they can fully access their learning and move safely within the classroom environment.
The Role
1:1 support for a visually impaired pupil
Helping the pupil navigate the classroom and school environment
Supporting access to learning materials and classroom activities
Assisting with the recording and presentation of work
Encouraging confidence, independence and engagement in learning
