New Yesterday

Teacher wanting a change?  How about supporting young people with autism or a learning disability?  It's Monday to Friday 9 – 5 (no weekend marking, etc) so a proper work life balance (one day a week is non-teaching and just admin).  And making a real difference – teaching young people the skills they need to thrive within the world of employment.
You will be working for a national charity on their supported internship programme.  These are set up to provide classroom-based teaching to young people around employability and functional skills (you don’t need to have taught this previously).  The young people then go onto work experience placements with employers where they get constant support throughout the whole process.
It’s a varied role.  Working with learners around their needs.  Delivering great schemes of work and also interacting with employers.  So, you get to see the end result.
