A secondary school in South Birmingham is looking for an experienced SENCo to take full responsibility for SEND provision on a long-term basis.
This is a high-demand role in a school where SEND needs are significant. You will need to be confident leading from the front, managing EHCP processes, and working closely with SLT, staff, and external agencies.
The Role: Lead and manage SEND provision across the school Oversee EHCPs, annual reviews, and interventions Work closely with SLT and teaching staff to improve outcomes Support behaviour strategies for students with additional needs
The Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher with SENCo experience (or aspiring SENCo with strong background) Confident managing a high caseload of SEND students Strong understanding of EHCP processes and statutory requirements Resilient, organised, and able to lead in a demanding environment
