Job Details: Job Title: SENDco Salary: £39,000 to £42,000 per annum Contract Type: Permanent Shift Pattern: 38.5 hours per week (full time or part time options). 38 weeks per year term time. Job Summary: Working with a non-selective day school for boys and girls, aged between 5 to 18 years, with a wide range of special educational needs. Working with a school that are dedicated to meeting the academic, therapeutic, and vocational needs of their students with a mission to create, adapt, and implement functional curricula necessary to meet the diverse individual needs of our student population and increase current and future independence. The SENCO, under the direction of the Headteacher, will: Determine the strategic development of special educational needs (SEN) policy and provision in the school Be responsible for day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents and other agencies.
