About the role
We’re looking for a strategic, client-focused Senior Account Director to join our UK, central London-based team on a 1-year fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll oversee multiple accounts and shape high-impact medical education programmes across live, digital, and hybrid formats.
This role combines team leadership, client consultancy, project oversight, and business development, giving you a chance to make a real impact in a fixed-term capacity.
Key responsibilities
Client & project leadership
Lead multiple accounts, ensuring delivery of high-quality, on-brief, on-budget projects across the full spectrum of medical education.
Build and maintain trusted, strategic client relationships, acting as a senior advisor and the key point of contact.
Develop and implement account strategies, project plans, and proposals, including budgeting and resource allocation.
Navigate complex client situations, identify issues early, and guide teams to solutions.
Travel for client meetings, events, or pitches as required.
Team leadership
Inspire and lead the Client Services Team through direct line management, mentoring, and team development.
Work with managers to develop performance plans and ensure training aligns with team needs.
Ensure resources are in place to meet workload demands and foster a collaborative, respectful working culture.
Quality & compliance
Maintain expertise in pharmaceutical compliance and client-specific processes, ensuring all team outputs meet regulatory standards.
Oversee internal systems, processes, and documentation to maintain operational excellence.
Lead proposals, pitches, and account development plans, identifying new business opportunities.
Maximize growth within existing accounts while supporting company-wide growth objectives.
Provide strategic input across accounts, mentoring teams on aligning medical strategy with client goals.
This is a hands-on senior leadership role on a 1-year fixed-term contract, ideal for an experienced Med Comms professional who thrives at the intersection of client consultancy, team leadership, and business growth.
