Job Description We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Acoustic Consultant to join our growing team in London. You will be working on projects across the Buildings, Environment and Transportation sectors, mainly in the UK. Based in London, you will be supported by a team of motivated acousticians, both in London and around the UK. Key Responsibilities
Undertaking baseline environmental noise and vibration surveys, and benchmark testing of existing buildings. Rigorous application of standards such as BS 4142, BS 8233, BS 5228 and Pro PG to projects. Authoring technical reports both for planning and design. Acoustic modelling (CADNA/A and Odeon). Effectively managing own workload and project managing projects. Residential/Masterplan, Roads, Bridges and Industrial led EIA preparation. Site inspections on Building projects and PCT testing. Liaison with Ramboll Environment and Health and Buildings teams. Input to fee proposals, resource tracking and monitoring of project profitability. Effective communication with architects and other specialists to integrate acoustic requirements into the project designs. Technical support for colleagues and contributing to our continued growth and success.
Requirements
Acoustic related Degree, IOA Diploma or Masters’ Degree. Full driving licence. Relevant experience in acoustic consultancy. Proven experience in project delivery and managing own workload. Desire to or already working towards CEng. Associate Member of Institute of Acoustics (working towards MIOA). Proficient user of CADNA-A software. Experience in the use of Odeon would be beneficial.
