Senior Algorithm Specialist – Guidance & Control | Defence & Aerospace We’re working with a team at the forefront of missile systems development, looking for a Senior Algorithm Specialist with deep expertise in Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC). This is a great opportunity to get involved in some of the UK’s most advanced defence projects helping shape the future of autonomous guidance and control systems across a wide range of platforms. You’ll work across the full design and development lifecycle – from early concept and R&D through to in-flight trials and operational deployment. There’s a good mix of deep technical work (algorithm design, modelling, real-time architecture) and broader system-level thinking (analysis, architecture, integration across complex systems).

The work involves:

Designing and implementing G&C algorithms for missile systems Analysing and modelling system behaviour using MATLAB/Simulink Working with tech like IR/RF seekers, inertial sensors, actuators, and advanced propulsion systems Supporting both detailed-level algorithm design and higher-level system architecture decisions Cross-verifying models and systems against theory and performance requirements Working with multi-disciplinary teams across various programmes and stages from concept to flight trials  We’re looking for:
