Job Title: Senior Architectural Technician Location: Manchester, Sheffield & Peterborough Salary: £37-45,000 DOE *Contract staff also being considered for Manchester* About the company: A well-established, award-winning architectural practice is seeking experienced Senior Architectural Technicians to join its studios in Manchester, Sheffield, and Peterborough. This is an opportunity to work across a broad range of sectors on nationally significant projects, contributing to schemes from early concept through to completion. In this role, the Senior Architectural Technician will lead the technical development of projects, ensuring that design intent is translated into coordinated, practical, and buildable solutions. Working closely with architects, consultants, and contractors, they will take ownership of technical packages, support project delivery, and mentor junior team members while contributing to the successful delivery of complex schemes. Benefits * Competitive salary, dependent on experience * Flexible hybrid working arrangements * Ongoing professional development and training opportunities * Exposure to a wide variety of high-profile, multi-sector projects * Collaborative and supportive team environment Daily Duties * Lead the technical delivery of projects independently or as part of a team * Produce detailed technical and construction information for tender and on-site delivery * Attend and contribute to meetings with clients, contractors, and consultants * Ensure all work complies with UK Building Regulations and relevant industry standards * Develop and coordinate design information across key RIBA stages * Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams * Support site activities, including inspections and resolving technical issues * Mentor and guide junior team members Ideal Candidate * Holds relevant technical qualifications in architecture or a related field * Demonstrates proven experience delivering projects across all RIBA stages in the UK * Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD * Has a strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction standards * Experienced in detailing complex buildings and producing comprehensive drawing packages * Possesses strong communication and coordination skills * Highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented * BIM experience is desirable but not essential
