Astute's Renewables Team is exclusively partnering with a climate - focused real assets investor in the battery storage industry to recruit a Senior Asset & Operations Manager for its London office.
The Senior Asset & Operations Manager role comes with a competitive salary between £90,000 - £110,000, life assurance, private healthcare and the opportunity to be involved in a wide variety of exciting renewable energy projects.

Responsibilities and duties of the Senior Asset & Operations Manager role
Reporting to the Head of Operations & Asset Management, you will:
Build, coach, and manage a small team of Commercial/Asset Managers
Define clear goals and performance expectations aligned with the Energy Transition strategy
Serve as the senior escalation point for commercial and contractual issues
Provide ad hoc project support, including initiatives such as new management systems, construction projects, revenue opportunities, and optimisation of the operational fleet
Assist the finance team with invoice reconciliation
Liaise with Route-to-Market counterparties and monitor performance across multiple revenue streams
Support submissions for monthly and annual auctions
Ensure asset qualification across NESO schemes (e.g., CM, DC)
Oversee monthly reporting, including adding revenue-related insights and commentary
Lead the annual portfolio budgeting process
Develop and manage the portfolio's insurance strategy, including negotiationsProfessional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
Minimum of 5+ years' experience working with market data in trading, optimisation, or regulated environments, with a willingness to join a leading BESS organisation with ambitious growth plans
Proven experience in developing, leading, and managing a small team of asset managers
Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver detailed, in-depth analysis
Academic background in a numerical, technical, financial, or scientific discipline; candidates with IT or data science expertise will also be consideredPersonal skills
