Senior Asset Management Surveyor (Interim)\n\nLocation: Basingstoke, Hampshire (Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote)\nContract: Interim / Temporary – 26 weeks\nHours: 37 hours per week\nIR35: Inside IR35\nStart Date: 19 January 2026\n\nPay Rates:\n\n * \n\n PAYE: £43.82 per hour\n\n * \n\n Umbrella / Ltd: £58.58 per hour\n\nRibble Recruitment is assisting a local authority in the appointment of an experienced Senior Asset Management Surveyor to support a large and well-established commercial property investment portfolio.\n\nThis interim role sits within a specialist Investment / Property Services team and will focus on hands-on asset and estate management across a diverse portfolio including retail, office, industrial, leisure, and town centre assets.\n\nThe Role\n\nKey responsibilities will include:\n\n * \n\n Day-to-day management of a commercial investment portfolio\n\n * \n\n Managing rent reviews, lease renewals, new lettings, landlord & tenant matters, consents, surrenders, and dilapidations\n\n * \n\n Estate management of multi-let properties, including service charge management, budgeting, income monitoring, and debt management\n\n * \n\n Overseeing managing agents where appointed\n\n * \n\n Contributing to project groups relating to the managed portfolio\n\n * \n\n Undertaking valuations as required\n\n * \n\n Supporting delivery of the organisation’s Annual Property Plan\n\nAbout You\n\nTo be considered, you will:\n\n * \n\n Be RICS qualified\n\n * \n\n Have strong experience working within a commercial property / asset management environment\n\n * \n\n Demonstrate solid working knowledge of commercial leases\n\n * \n\n Be confident managing a varied commercial portfolio independently\n\n * \n\n Hold a full UK driving licence (access to a vehicle desirable)\n\n * \n\n Have experience working within a local authority or public sector setting (highly desirable)\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n * \n\n Competitive hourly rates (inside IR35)\n\n * \n\n Hybrid working arrangement\n\n * \n\n Opportunity to support and influence a high-value commercial investment portfolio\n\n * \n\n Well-defined interim assignment with a clear start date and duration\n\nRibble Recruitment is assisting the hiring organisation by managing candidate sourcing, screening, and the initial stages of the recruitment process.\n\nFor more information or to apply, please contact:\n\nLewis Ashcroft\nRibble Recruitment
