Senior Associate (6+ PQE) – Infrastructure / Energy, Projects & Construction
A top-tier international law firm is looking to hire a Senior Associate (6+ PQE) into its market-leading Projects & Infrastructure team in London.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced projects lawyer to join a highly regarded practice advising on some of the most significant infrastructure, energy and construction mandates in the UK and internationally.
The Team
The team is widely recognised as a leader in the projects, energy and infrastructure space, with over 15 years’ experience advising sponsors, funders and public authorities on complex infrastructure and PPP/PFI projects across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and South East Asia.
They have advised on 30+ closed PPP/PFI projects, with UK deals alone exceeding £16bn in aggregate value.
The Role
You will work on a broad range of high-profile matters including:
Major infrastructure and energy developments (UK and international) PPP/PFI projects, including procurement, structuring and delivery Negotiation of key project documentation, including EPC, EPCM and construction contracts Advising on associated security packages and risk allocation frameworks Supporting leading investors on secondary market transactions, refinancings and infrastructure M&A Advising across a range of sectors including transport, renewables, waste, defence, telecoms, ports, rail, roads and water Working on complex waste-to-energy and biomass projects, including construction, financing and operational phases Advising across the full lifecycle: development, financing, construction, operation and investment Exposure to ESG, governance and sustainability-related frameworks where relevant
This is a role offering genuine responsibility, client access and clear progression in a high-performing team.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
6+ years’ PQE (England & Wales or commonwealth qualified) Strong experience in projects / infrastructure / energy and construction matters Exposure to EPC/EPCM contracts and major project documentation Experience advising sponsors, funders or public bodies Strong drafting and negotiation skills A commercial, solutions-focused approach Confidence working on complex cross-border transactions Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
