Overview:

My Client is looking to hire a Senior Associate for it's Debt Advisory Team in London. The team provides unbiased, independent advice to its clients on capital structure solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Sourcing and executing financing deals.

• Advising clients on the arranging debt for event driven situations, acquisitions and re-financings.

• Participating in complex negotiations on behalf of its clients. As well as being a well-established team with a consistently excellent track record, the Debt Advisory Team offers great opportunities for upwards progression.

• Support origination & execution of transactions in the debt advisory team.

• Build complex financial models from scratch.

• Undertake analysis of company operational and financial performance, capital structure, legal documentation and valuation.

• Lead in the drafting & preparation of deal materials.

• Lead in the drafting of marketing materials including pitch books and company research.

• Manage team analysts supporting you to carry out the above responsibilities and act as a quality control on their work.

• Play an integral role within the team supporting senior members in client and lender engagement and in supervising and training junior members of the team.

• Working alongside colleagues from M&A advisory teams

Requirements:

• Experience at a leading investment bank or other advisory firm commensurate with working at the Associate level.

• Essential that the applicant is able to build complex models from scratch to model financing scenarios and company valuations (incl. LBO, DCF).

• Candidates with significant leveraged finance or debt advisory experience are preferred.

• Has ability to synthesise and interpret data, and present it in a clear, concise and logical way.

• Experience in supervising and teaching junior members of teams. • Highly analytical, motivated with leadership potential.

• A hard-working, pro-active, can-do attitude and a willingness to work on a number of transactions at the same time. • Excellent communication, problem solving & presentation skills.

• Good Excel, PowerPoint & Word skills.
