We are instructed on a new Senior Associate role with a top-tier Employment team, which has a standout reputation in the London market. Recognised as Band/Tier 1 in both Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 UK, the team advises an impressive portfolio of clients across financial services, healthcare and the wider commercial sector. With a strong and growing presence, the team acts for leading financial institutions, household-name corporates and is a recognised market leader in the public and independent health sectors.

The Opportunity

The team is looking for a talented Senior Associate to take on a broad and high-quality Employment caseload within a collaborative and ambitious team.

In this role, you will:

  • Advise a wide range of employers, with a particular focus on financial services clients
  • Handle complex contentious matters including discrimination, whistleblowing and breach of contract claims in the Employment Tribunal and High Court
  • Support major non-contentious projects, including restructures, redundancies and TUPE matters across the UK and internationally
  • Provide day-to-day employment advice
  • Supervise and support the development of trainees and paralegals
  • Play an active role in business development, including networking, client relationship management, seminars, and training delivery
  • Contribute to internal initiatives such as knowledge sharing and training.

About you

You will be a confident and commercially focused Employment lawyer, who is ready to step into a senior role and who will have

  • 5+ years' PQE in Employment law
  • Experience advising financial services clients and/or multinational organisations (preferred)
  • A strong background in Employment Tribunal litigation and other contentious matters
  • A pragmatic, solutions-driven mindset
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
  • A collaborative and proactive team player with a flexible approach.
