I am working with a growing consultancy who are looking for an experienced Associate Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team. If you want to lead major data centre projects, influence design from day one, and grow toward senior leadership, this is the opportunity.

The Role

You’ll lead mechanical design packages for large-scale, technically complex data centre projects across the UK, Europe and the US. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you’ll take responsibility from early concept through to tender and construction support.

What You’ll Do

• Lead mechanical design for high-power, high-resilience data centres
• Oversee chilled water systems, ventilation, cooling and full plant design
• Guide and mentor engineers; support team development
• Work directly with clients, contractors and design partners
• Carry out site visits, technical reviews and ensure design compliance
• Drive sustainability and best-practice engineering principles

What We’re Looking For

• Chartered Mechanical Engineer (CIBSE/IMechE)
• Strong HVAC or mechanical design background (data centres or similar complex environments)
• Roughly 10 years experience leading engineering packages and multidisciplinary coordination
• Confident communicator with excellent technical leadership skills
