THE ROLE: With an ever‑expanding event calendar, there is now the opportunity for a Senior Audio Visual Production Manager to join the team to technically deliver both live and hybrid events for the venues within the group. As a Senior Audio Visual Production Manager you will lead the Event Production Managers in delivering technical elements of events and driving technical delivery forward. Ensure safety and financial standards are met. Provide technical services and maintain high service levels for all venues for the events. Responsibilities will include:
Lead the team to ensure operational excellence and client satisfaction. Allocate and manage PMs’ workloads for seamless event delivery. Evaluate events to ensure no compromise on client and delegate experience along with safety. Understand various event profiles and ensure their successful execution. Follow industry trends and suggest innovative event experiences. Accurately record and disseminate event information; manage Health & Safety documentation. Take a hands‑on role in delivering events and support team members. Support sales process which includes Sales, ancillary sales, and manage overall client satisfaction levels across production. Ensure compliance with statutory and company policies and oversee Health & Safety within events as well as department. Oversee event technical crew and staff hours within timelines and budgets for own events. Oversee cost management for staff hours, technical equipment, and production budgets for all events. Ensure accurate financial management, including cost checks, invoicing, forecasting, budgeting, and identifying upselling revenue opportunities. Plan and deliver technical elements for all events, balancing client, catering, and technical requirements. Upsell technical items and room theming to enhance production values. Review hall technical specifications annually and support sales teams in enhancing client experiences. Own health and safety within Production activities, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures and participate on Health & Safety Hazard walks and attend the Conventions Health & Safety Meeting.

THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate will have previous Senior Audio Visual Production Management experience within either a venue or production company and will have worked on a broad range of events.
High Performance & Customer Satisfaction: Proven track record as a Senior Event Production Manager with consistent KPI scores and client satisfaction. Strong Communication & Financial Management: Excellent communication, attention to detail, and financial management skills, regularly challenging costs. Effective Leadership & Industry Expertise: Demonstrable leadership and technical management skills, with a deep understanding of event industry trends and technical equipment. Ideally within live events or conferences.
Experience with various event types (Corporate, Association, Banqueting, Political, VIP, Incentive, Exhibition, virtual/hybrid), ideally in a venue or production company. Skills to maximise revenue while meeting client needs. Problem‑solving abilities and forward‑thinking attitude, ability to work under pressure, strong organisation skills. Understanding of the AEV eGuide NEBOSH or IOSH health and safety qualifications (desirable). Working knowledge of AutoCAD / Qualification (desirable)
