This role offers the opportunity to work with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses and SMEs, taking responsibility for audit assignments from planning through to completion while maintaining direct client contact.

• Planning and leading external audit assignments from start to completion

• Preparing audit files, workpapers, and completion documentation

• Identifying risk areas and ensuring compliance with relevant audit standards

• Liaising directly with clients and acting as a key point of contact

• Presenting audit findings and recommendations

• Supporting and mentoring junior team members

• Managing multiple assignments and meeting deadlines

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)

• Current external audit experience within a UK accountancy practice is essential

• Experience leading or supporting audit assignments

• Strong understanding of audit and financial reporting standards

• Good organisational and communication skills
