Astute's Power Team are currently recruiting for a Senior Authorised Person (21Kv authorisation) to join the EPC Contractor to install the new synchronous condenser on an existing CCGT plant based in Pembrokeshire on a 3 months initial contract with an immediate start.

The day rate for the SAP position are from £500.00 to £600.00 per day outside of IR35.

Role responsibilities and key skills for the role:

Act as the SAP for 11kV systems under company and DNO/IDNO authorisation. If the candidate is authorised up to 21kv, this will be beneficial.

Carry out switching operations, issue safety documents (PTW, SFT, LOA), and ensure all HV works are executed safely.

Supervise and coordinate HV commissioning activities, including protection testing, cable terminations, and system energisation.

Ensure all work is carried out in line with statutory regulations, industry standards, and internal HSEQ policies.

Maintain up-to-date HV records, test results, and safety documentation.

Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and site operatives.

Lead fault-finding and diagnostics where required

Current and valid SAP authorisation up to 21kV (from a DNO, IDNO, or reputable private network).

Demonstrable experience managing high-voltage works on large-scale infrastructure or industrial process plants.
