Core Team You will be joining the Core Team focused on critical systems, including managing interactions with external banks, orchestrating payments, and providing foundational infrastructure for Identity and Access Management (IAM). The team also handles risk-related services, specifically credit risk management and fraud detection. What You’ll Be Doing As a Senior Backend Software Engineer in the Core Team, you’ll play a critical role in engineering the backbone of our payment platform. You will be responsible for the technical quality and delivery of complex systems that impact multiple services and product teams across the company. Day-to-day Responsibilities

Engineer core platform domains; contribute to design and evolution of sensitive systems such as the Transaction Ledger, IAM, and Payment Orchestration; ensuring high performance, scalability, and usability. Scale risk & financial engines; optimize and implement services dedicated to bank integrations, credit risk, and real‑time fraud detection. Cross‑team technical leadership; drive technical analysis for projects spanning multiple services; lead discussions and produce documentation (Smart Papers). Foster engineering excellence; ensure technical quality with rigorous testing strategies and safe rollouts; proactively resolve blockers. Mentor & develop; guide junior and mid‑level engineers; promote tools and methodologies for accelerated development without compromising security or reliability.

Expect challenges, collaboration, and freedom to bring ideas to life. Our tech stack includes PostgreSQL, Java, Spring Boot, AWS infrastructure (EC2/ECS, S3, Lambda, Kinesis, ElasticSearch). You’ll own your work from start to finish. Who We’re Looking For

Extensive experience: At least 5 years of back‑end engineering, with a proven track record in microservices and cloud environments (AWS preferred). Technical depth: Deep experience with Java and Spring Boot; strong understanding of distributed systems and external dependencies like banking protocols. Structured communication: Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and coordinate implementations with multiple teams. Impact mindset: Focused on delivering software that meets evolving user needs; adaptable, avoids analysis paralysis, and goes the extra mile. Passion and language skills: Passion for FinTech and fluency in English.
