Senior Building Surveyor – Enfield

Residential, Social Housing & Public Sector Projects | Up to £75,000 + Benefits

I’m working with a highly respected, multi-disciplinary consultancy with a strong reputation across social housing, residential, and public sector work. Their projects have a real impact on communities, improving existing stock and delivering meaningful upgrades across housing and public assets.

Due to sustained growth and a strong pipeline of instructions, I’m looking to appoint a Building Surveyor at Senior level. The team is open to candidates at different stages, including those recently Chartered or progressing through their APC.

The Role

You’ll work across a broad mix of project and professional instructions, primarily within social housing and public sector portfolios, alongside wider public sector work.

Typical work includes:

Contract administration and project delivery (refurbishment and improvement schemes)
Building surveys, condition surveys, and defect diagnosis
Planned works and asset improvement programmes
Dilapidations and technical reporting
Specification writing and tender documentation
Client advisory across housing stock and public buildings
You’ll have direct client contact and the autonomy to manage your own workload, with support from senior leadership where needed.

There is also the opportunity to mentor junior surveyors and contribute to the continued growth of the team.

About You

Experience in Building Surveying within a consultancy or client-side environment
MRICS qualified, or working towards it,
Comfortable dealing with clients and managing your own work
Experience across housing, residential, or public sector work is beneficial but not essential
Motivated, reliable, and looking to progress
This role is intentionally flexible on level. Whether you’re stepping up into a Senior role or already operating at that level, the business can support you.

Salary & Benefits

Salary up to £75,000 depending on experience
Hybrid working – typically 2 days in the office, with flexibility around site visits
Pension and healthcare
Strong support with APC and ongoing development
Clear progression pathway
Varied workload across meaningful projects
Supportive, down-to-earth team

If you want to work on projects that actually matter, with a consultancy that’s growing and investing in its people, this is a strong opportunity.
