A unique opportunity for a senior-level Business Analyst with solid commercial experience working specifically with client data, to join this innovative, leading, global digital marketing technology business.

The Business Analyst will be part of a team of two operating in a larger global division, and will be responsible for the onboarding and automation of client’s customer and transaction data across a suite of digital media products.

The role

A unique, hybrid technical and client-facing role within the Engineering team and consists of both Business Analysts and Developers operating in an agile methodology environment. You will be the trusted advisor and stakeholder representing the Datawarehouse team. As a Business Analyst, the successful candidate will engage with clients to gather data requirements, interrogate client’s data and create mapping rules for developers, analyse and present data results, and provide ongoing support for internal cross-teams. They will also cultivate a deep understanding of the business and the downstream use of the data, ensuring the highest data quality, while meeting service-level-agreements.

Responsibilities:

• Interpreting client needs and translate into understandable written requirements.
• Analysing client data and defining scalable data onboarding and automation solutions.
• Engaging in team code reviews by interrogating developer scripts to consider all business rules.
• Sharing client initial data onboarding reports with cross-teams.
• Serving as a liaison between clients, developers, pre-sales, cross-teams, and stakeholders regarding client data.
• Notifying downstream teams of database and application maintenance events impacting data loading.
• Providing details to stakeholders regarding agreed upon solutions and their impact.
• Building and maintaining relationships within the organisation and with external partners and understand the unique needs of each partnership.
• Maintaining integrity and quality of our database tables and client data.

Experience/Skills required:

• 5+ years’ experience in onboarding data as a Business Analyst, Data Solutions Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong ability using SQL and have a solid understanding of relational database design.
• An understanding of ETL application systems and file transfer methods.
• Experience navigating Linux for file archival servers and using terminal commands.
• Experience with agile methodologies
• Passionate about problem-solving and using your analytical side.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Desire to be a leader and have a strong sense of ownership.
• Experience with and enjoy working with clients, internal cross-teams, and developers.
• Clear communication skills - articulate, both written and verbally, detailed specifications.
• Solid time-management skills and can adhere to service-level-agreements.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and architecture.
• Familiarity with Python and Shell scripts is a plus.
• Comfortable working in the office 4 days/week.
