With a strong reputation for service excellence and long-term client partnerships, the firm supports businesses from SMEs to large corporates across multiple sectors. As part of their growth strategy, they are seeking an accomplished Senior Business Development Manager to drive new client acquisition and expand their high-value introducer and stakeholder network. The Role This is a senior, outward-facing position responsible for generating high-quality new business opportunities and cultivating long‑term client relationships. You will play a key role in engaging with C‑suite and senior decision‑makers, understanding their risk and employee benefit needs, and presenting tailored insurance solutions. B2B Sales experience is essential for this role. Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to acquire new commercial clients across a range of industries. Build and nurture relationships with C‑suite leaders and senior stakeholders within small, mid‑size, and large organisations. Create and manage a high‑performing introducer network including professional services firms, intermediaries, and key referral partners. Work closely with internal technical and advisory teams to design insurance programmes aligned with client requirements. Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and networking forums. Maintain strong, trusted relationships with new clients to support long‑term retention and recurring revenue. Report on pipeline activity, revenue forecasts, and relationship development milestones.
Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will be a polished and credible relationship builder with a professional services background and a track record of engaging senior business leaders.
Background in legal, accounting, or professional services, OR commercial roles where complex stakeholder engagement is central. Experience dealing with business to business sales. Proven ability to build relationships with C‑suite executives, business owners, and senior corporate stakeholders. Strong network development capability with experience in creating and leveraging introducer/referral partnerships. Commercially astute with the ability to understand corporate structures, financial drivers, and risk challenges. Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills. High level of integrity and the ability to represent a trusted advisory brand.
