Senior Business Enabler

3 Days Old

GCHQ is a key partner organisation within the National Cyber Force (NCF). This is an exciting time to join our new NCF headquarters and play a key role in supporting its establishment. As a Senior Business Enabler, you’ll help develop new, strategic ways of working, build and develop stakeholder relationships and ultimately ensure the NCF has what it needs to operate smoothly.

You’ll be joining one of our business areas requiring support, staying there for a minimum of two years, allowing you to develop a deep understanding of what’s required and make tangible contributions. You’ll be the key point of contact for internal and cross-team communications and handle sensitive information with discretion. Importantly, you’ll be pivotal in establishing the success of our new NCF headquarters. Depending on your role, you might be helping implement business strategies alongside other departments, liaising with various stakeholders, organising and co-ordinating team building and training events, or communicating key messages to colleagues through the appropriate channels.

One of these roles could be an executive assistant, where you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support to senior staff, managing a variety of day-to-day tasks. This could include being responsible for maintaining and coordinating calendars, ensuring that meetings, travel arrangements, and correspondence are efficiently organised.

Upon joining you’ll receive a complete induction to GCHQ and the NCF, as well as training and further opportunities for learning and development relevant to your role and interests.

Ours is an open, inclusive workplace where you’ll find a range of sport, interest and social clubs as well as a number of growing affinity groups including ethnic minority and gender equality networks, wellbeing, mental health, neurodiversity and disability groups, LGBTQ+ support groups and faith/no faith communities.

At GCHQ diversity and inclusion are critical to our mission. To protect the UK, we need a truly diverse workforce that reflects the society we serve. This includes diversity in every sense of the word: those with different backgrounds, ages, ethnicities, gender identities, sexual orientations, ways of thinking and those with disabilities or neurodivergent conditions. We therefore welcome and encourage applications from everyone, including those from groups that are under-represented in our workforce such as women, those from an ethnic minority background, people with disabilities and those from low socio-economic backgrounds.

Full-time and part-time hours available. Full-time roles are based on 37 hours per week Monday to Friday, with flexibility around start and finish times. Part-time roles are based on a minimum of 3 days per week. Compressed and flexible hours are also possible. This role requires you to spend a minimum of 60% of your time in the office.

A role in GCHQ means you’ll have varied and fascinating work in a supportive and encouraging environment that puts the emphasis on teamwork.

The National Cyber Force (NCF) is a partnership between Defence and Intelligence.
