This is Alexander Faraday Recruitment are excited to be working with a growing retail, food & beverage business looking for a Senior Buyer to lead category strategy, manage key suppliers, and develop a high-performing buying team.
This is a predominantly home-based role with occasional travel to Head Office and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
Own and deliver category buying strategy
Lead range planning aligned to customer and sales mix
Manage key supplier relationships and commercial terms
Drive sales, margin, and performance through data-led decisions
Identify market trends and new product opportunities
Lead, coach, and develop junior Buyers
Ensure smooth day-to-day buying operations and processes
About You
5+ years experience in a Buyer role
Strong commercial and analytical mindset
Proven supplier negotiation and contract management experience
Confident leading and developing teams
Highly organised, proactive, and adaptable
Desirable
Experience in food / drink categories
Knowledge of retail or similar environments
Relevant certifications (Food Safety / H&S)
