To help make that happen, we’re looking for a Senior Buyer who thrives on challenge, thinks strategically, and wants to make a real impact on growth, cost, sustainability, and supply chain resilience at scale.

Procurement sits at the heart of our growth strategy. As Senior Buyer, you’ll lead the sourcing of critical raw materials and overseas supply, ensuring our operations remain competitive, reliable, and future-proof. You’ll influence decisions that shape our product portfolio, supplier partnerships, and long-term commercial success.

This is not a transactional buying role — it’s a strategic position with visibility across the business and the opportunity to drive meaningful change.

What you'll be doing

You’ll take ownership of strategic sourcing and supplier development across global markets, working closely with internal teams to align procurement with production and growth goals.

Key responsibilities include:

• Analysing global paper bag and raw material markets to identify high-quality, cost-effective supply opportunities
• Developing and executing sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, lead times, compliance, and sustainability
• Leading competitive tenders and contract negotiations to secure long-term value
• Building strong, collaborative supplier partnerships focused on innovation, performance, and continuous improvement
• Managing supply chain risk and navigating commodity price volatility with confidence
• Driving year-on-year cost savings and product improvements
• Using ERP systems (Dynamics NAV) and data analytics to track spend, performance, and KPIs
• Visiting suppliers globally and hosting regular performance reviews at supplier sites and in Kirkcaldy

What you will bring

You’re commercially sharp, analytically strong, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving manufacturing environment. You know how to influence, negotiate, and build trust — internally and externally.

We’re looking for someone with:

• CIPS qualification (or working towards it)
• Supply chain experience in manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of raw material markets, supplier management, and contract law
• A proven track record of cost savings and strategic sourcing success
• Confidence running tenders and leading complex negotiations
• Advanced Excel and ERP experience
• The flexibility to travel as required
