Senior Care Assistant (Nights)

Location: Marchwood, Hampshire (SO40)
Hours: 36 hours per week (8pm – 8am), including some weekends
Pay: £14.50 per hour

⭐ Key Responsibilities for a Senior Care Assistant (Nights)

As a Senior Care Assistant (Nights), you will help lead the care team and ensure residents receive exceptional support throughout the night. Your duties include:

Providing high‑quality personal care
Following safe Moving & Handling practices
Maintaining Infection Control, Safeguarding, First Aid and DoLS standards
Administering medication safely and accurately
Completing essential documentation:

Daily logs
MAR / TMAR charts
Food & fluid charts
Bowel movement records
Body maps

Leading and supporting the night care team
Ensuring the smooth and safe running of the night shift

⭐ Who We’re Looking For in a Senior Care Assistant (Nights)

We are seeking someone compassionate, reliable and confident in delivering excellent care.

You should have:

Experience working in a care setting
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A caring, professional attitude
Confidence supporting colleagues during a shift
Ideal qualifications:

NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum)
Working towards NVQ Level 3 or willing to progress
