Senior Care Assistant (HCA) - Residential & Dementia Care

Location: London (Catford area) Pay: £13.50 - £14.50 per hour Hours: 36 per week Contract: Permanent Service Size: Up to 24 residents Shifts: Day and night shifts available

About the Service

A well-established residential care home providing high-quality support for older adults, including those living with dementia, mental health conditions, and physical disabilities. The service delivers person-centred care for residents with a range of complex needs, including Parkinson's disease, stroke, COPD, and palliative/end-of-life care.

The Role

We are seeking Senior Care Assistants (x3) to join our dedicated team. You will deliver and oversee care, support residents' wellbeing, and mentor junior staff. Opportunities are available across both day and night shifts, offering flexibility for experienced candidates.

Key Responsibilities

Provide and oversee high-quality personal care and support.

Mentor and support junior staff, leading by example.

Assist with care planning, documentation, and reporting.

Ensure compliance with care standards and policies.

Promote residents' independence, dignity, and wellbeing.

Support a positive team culture within the home.

About You

Previous experience in residential, dementia, or complex needs care.

Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification preferred (Level 2 considered if working towards Level 3).

Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.

Compassionate, reliable, and committed to quality care.

Working Pattern

36 hours per week
