Senior Chartered Building Surveyor Location: London / South East (Hybrid) Salary: £75,000 + package The OpportunityTSA Surveying is exclusively partnering with a high-performing, Chartered property consultancy to appoint a Senior Chartered Building Surveyor into their London and South East team. This is a strategic hire into a growing business backed by a larger international group, offering the balance of specialist consultancy work with long-term stability and investment. The role is positioned for someone operating at, or close to, Associate level who wants more ownership, better quality work, and a clear progression route. The RoleYou will take ownership of complex residential and commercial instructions, acting as a trusted adviser to clients while leading projects from inception through to delivery. Work will span building pathology, major works, compliance reporting, and advisory instructions, with a strong focus on technical quality and commercial awareness. You will manage your own workload, lead projects, and support junior surveyors, with direct exposure to Directors and clients. Key FocusLead project and professional instructions across varied assetsAct as Project Manager and Contract Administrator on schemes up to £3m+Deliver clear, commercially focused advice to clientsManage risk across contracts, compliance, and deliverySupport and mentor junior surveyors and APC candidatesUndertaking reinstatement cost assessments and pre acquisition surveysCompleting Building Height Surveys and Building Safety Act related reportingPreparing Schedules of Dilapidations and negotiating claimsActing as Principal Designer including PCI preparation and oversight of H&S documentationMonitoring development works on behalf of landlords, managing agents and fundersAbout YouMRICS qualified with circa 2+ years PQEStrong technical grounding in building pathology and constructionProven experience delivering projects under JCT contractsComfortable operating autonomously in a hybrid environmentAmbitious and motivated by progression to Associate levelWhats on Offer£75,000 salary + discretionary bonusHybrid and flexible workingPrivate medical, enhanced benefits, and full support for continued developmentClear progression pathway within a growing, well-backed consultancyWhy Consider This Role This is not a volume-driven environment.
