The Wilding Hotel is a recently refurbished, family run hotel in the Eden Valley, Cumbria. Owned by The Harker Family, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional guest experiences, whether they are enjoying a relaxing stay, dining with us, or enjoying a casual drink in our bar. This 17 bedroom boutique hotel has a public bar, lounge, restaurant and function room. The family also run Eden Wedding Barn, located 5 miles away from the hotel. The hotel's main clientele are wedding guests staying overnight.
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Senior Chef de Partie to join our team in the Cumbrian countryside. Working as Deputy to our Head Chef, this role is vital in maintaining our commitment to excellence in food service and customer satisfaction in our restaurant..
Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations ensuring food quality and safety standards are met.
Lead and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, maintaining high culinary standards.
Manage food production processes efficiently to meet customer demands.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
Assist in training staff on food preparation, cooking techniques, and safety procedures.
Support restaurant service by coordinating with front-of-house staff.
Contribute to menu development and innovation to enhance guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or catering environment.
Strong food production and culinary skills.
Excellent team management and leadership abilities.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
Experience in hospitality or restaurant settings.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills.
Passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
Please note we cannot offer a live in position. Possibility of 4 day working week.
