This is a great opportunity to join my client, a growing, well-respected Multidisciplinary Consultancy, dedicated to broadening their geographical reach by establishing a brand new office location in beautiful Scotland. Known for lending their expertise to a diverse range of high-profile projects across the landscape architecture, planning, and civil engineering fields, they are currently on the lookout for a capable, experienced Senior Civil Engineer with extensive knowledge of infrastructure design, who is willing to take on a diverse array of challenging new projects. You will be working alongside a newly-established team of design experts, based in the picturesque, multicultural Scottish Capital City of Edinburgh.

Responsibilities for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
Contributing to the design of a range of infrastructure projects and developments
Overseeing the day-to-day running of various projects, from inception through to successful delivery
Mentoring and supporting colleagues through their own professional development
Liaising with clients and other stakeholders
Preparing and checking technical documents, including reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, etc.
Adhering to company policies, procedures, and best practice, ensuring you uphold the appropriate health and safety standards at all times
Acting as a company representative at client meetings, site visits, and other events
Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
A UK Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil or Structural Engineering
Possess Chartered Status with a recognised professional body (e.g., ICE)
Experience of working in a design-based role, within a UK-based consultancy or Local Authority setting
Considerable experience of working on infrastructure (namely highways and drainage), housing developments, and energy projects
Experience of earthworks and drainage network modelling
Proficient in the use of various software systems (to include Civils 3D, MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, and similar)
Demonstrable experience of writing and checking a variety of technical documents
Experience of liaising with clients and stakeholders within the industry
Outstanding organisation, time management, team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
A Higher Degree (in a cognate discipline)
Experience of preparing Flood Risk Assessments and/or Transport Assessments
Experience of leading projects/teams
Experience of working in a public-facing role
Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
