About The Company\nThey are a well‑established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with 40+ years’ experience in civil, structural and geo‐environmental engineering.\nThey have strong foundations in the Commercial and Residential sectors, and they also undertake work in Education, Health, Government, Conservation, Retail, Industrial, Sports & Leisure, Public Sector, Housing, etc. They also offer in‑house geo‑environmental investigation services, which improves decision‑making speed and design accuracy.\n\nThe Role\nYou’ll be stepping in as a Senior Civil Engineer to lead civil engineering design and delivery across a varied portfolio. You’ll be involved from initial concept through to detailed design, helping to shape infrastructure elements, site strategies, drainage, highways/SUDS, ground condition resolution, etc.
You’ll work closely with architects, planners, contractors, and public bodies, ensuring that designs are robust, efficient, sustainable, and buildable. You’ll also mentor more junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and tools.\n\nResponsibilities\nLead civil engineering design for multiple concurrent projects across the sectors listed above\nDevelop and deliver ground engineering, highways, drainage/SUDS, site strategy, infrastructure and associated civil works\nAssess and manage challenging ground conditions leveraging in‑house geo‑environmental capabilities\nEnsure all designs meet relevant UK regulations, sustainability best practices, and client objectives\nLiaise with clients, contractors, local authorities, and other stakeholders\nManage project budgets, programme, risk and quality\nMentor and guide junior staff; support the development of the team\nContribute to innovation and improvement in design tools, workflows and standards\n\nWhat They Offer\nCompetitive salary appropriate to experience, with performance incentives\nFlexible working / hybrid options\nSupport for professional development and chartership\nGenerous leave + bank holidays\nPension scheme, other employee benefits\nWorking in a culture that values collaboration, innovation, excellence and client service
