Senior Civil Engineer Location: Birmingham About the Role We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join a dynamic Civil and Structural team. This role involves managing a variety of projects, leading the day-to-day technical delivery of civil engineering consultancy services from feasibility through to planning, detailed design, and construction. Expertise in drainage and highway design, SuDS, Flood Risk Assessments, and earthworks is essential. You will work alongside a team of experienced technical staff, collaborating to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the expected quality standards. What You Will Do ·Work on diverse projects including housing, commercial, residential, and extra care developments. ·Use design software for innovative infrastructure solutions. ·Engage in both public and private sector projects. ·Follow UK design standards and codes. What You Will Have ·A BEng, MEng, MSc, HND, or HNC in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience in an engineering consultancy. ·Expertise in producing drainage and highway drawings, technical reports, and site appraisals. ·Knowledge of UK planning procedures and relevant design codes, including Water UK Sewerage Sector Guidance, Manual for Streets, and Local Authority Design Guidance. ·Proficiency in technical software like AutoCAD, Microdrainage/Flow, Causeway Live/PDS, Civil 3D, and AutoTrack. ·Experience with residential developers. ·Strong written and verbal communication skills. ·Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and mentor others. ·A full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).
