Senior Civil Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Civil Engineer to join one of our most well-established and highly regarded engineering clients. This role sits within their civil engineering team, supporting infrastructure and development projects across industrial and commercial environments.

You will play a key role in the delivery of projects from concept through to completion, working closely with clients, internal teams and site personnel. As a senior member of the team, you will take responsibility for technical delivery, provide guidance to junior engineers and contribute to project planning and decision making.

This position offers excellent variety, exposure to a wide range of schemes and the opportunity to influence both technical solutions and project outcomes within a collaborative engineering environment.

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Leading the delivery of civil designs across external works and infrastructure schemes
• Producing and reviewing drainage strategies, network designs and SAB/SuDS submissions
• Supporting highway and access design across development projects
• Developing 3D earthworks models and practical groundworks solutions
• Liaising directly with clients, stakeholders and design teams throughout project delivery
• Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers
• Contributing to project planning, design decisions and overall technical direction

You will have the following skills and experience:

• Degree in Civil Engineering (or comparable)
• Strong experience within civil engineering roles focused on infrastructure or development projects
• Good knowledge of drainage, highways and external works design
• Understanding of UK design standards and approval processes
• Ability to manage workload and coordinate with project teams
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000
