Senior Cloud Platform Architect - Contract - Outside IR/35Role OverviewWe are looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Architect to help define and scale a cloud-native platform environment. The role sits at the architectural level, shaping how infrastructure and applications are designed, deployed, and operated across AWS.This is not an SAP/BTP-first role - candidates should come from a hyperscaler cloud background, with SAP exposure considered a bonus.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine end-to-end cloud platform architecture on AWSDesign and govern Infrastructure-as-Code approaches (Terraform, Helm)Architect Kubernetes-based environments and container deployment strategiesEmbed Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles across the platformDefine best practices for:Deployment workflows (e.g. blue/green deployments)Monitoring, alerting, and reliabilityScalable and resilient infrastructureTranslate high-level business and technical requirements into architectural designsWork closely with platform engineering teams responsible for executionProvide architectural governance and guide engineering teams on implementationKey RequirementsProven experience as a Cloud / Platform Architect in AWS environmentsStrong understanding of:Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform essential)Kubernetes and container orchestrationHelm and deployment toolingExperience with platform engineering and cloud-native architecture patternsStrong knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) conceptsAbility to design end-to-end architecture lifecycle:From initial request ? design ? deployment ? monitoring ? optimisationComfortable operating at both strategic (architecture) and light hands-on levelNice to HaveExposure to SAP landscapes or SAP BTPExperience working in SaaS or product-led environmentsUnderstanding of 'opinionated platforms' (e.g. abstractions over hyperscalers like BTP)JBRP1_UKTJ
