Senior Combustion Engineer

Up to £55,000 per annum + benefits

MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Senior Combustion Engineer to join the Operations & Maintenance Plant Team this role will involve reporting to the Technical Manager, the Senior Combustion Engineer will deliver operation and maintenance services across portfolio of heat networks.

As a Senior Combustion Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Planned preventative maintenance.
• Fault finding, repair, and reinstatement of commercial gas boilers and mechanical plant
• Attendance at reactive call-outs to reinstate heat and resolve plant failures
• Participation in an on-call rota (typically 1 week in 4)
• Safe isolation of mechanical and electrical systems prior to works
• Management of small site-based remediation projects
• Providing technical support and mentoring to junior engineers
• Other duties as required

To be considered for this role you should have:

• Minimum 2 years' experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer
• Valid commercial gas qualifications including TPCP1 and BMP1
• NVQ Level 2 in Gas / Plumbing & Heating
• Experience servicing and repairing commercial boilers (e.g. Hovel, Hamworthy, Ideal, Buderus)
• Experience working in plant rooms with boilers exceeding 1MW
• Full UK driving licence
