Eames are currently partnered with a leading global insurer to hire a Senior Commercial Property Underwriter into a high-performing and well-established London Market team.

This is a standout opportunity for an experienced Property underwriter who enjoys trading, building broker relationships and driving both new business and portfolio growth within the middle market space.

The Role

• Underwrite and grow a portfolio of Commercial Property business across the UK
• Drive new business activity while maintaining a strong and profitable renewal book
• Build and manage a pipeline through proactive broker and market engagement
• Quote, negotiate and convert business in line with appetite and targets
• Work closely with distribution, risk engineering and wider underwriting teams
• Deliver a high level of service and responsiveness to broker partners

About You

• Minimum 5 years’ experience within Property underwriting
• Strong track record of new business development and trading
• Experience within the middle market segment
• Confident operating with underwriting authority
• Commercially astute, decisive and relationship-driven
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence both internally and externally
