About the Role

Our client, a prominent global investment organisation, is looking for an experienced Senior Compliance Analyst to strengthen its global compliance oversight function in Edinburgh. This position plays a key role in ensuring the business meets regulatory obligations and maintains robust governance standards.

Operating within the second line of defence, you’ll work closely with teams across regions to deliver effective monitoring, enhance controls, and embed compliance practices throughout the organisation. The ideal candidate will combine strong regulatory expertise with analytical capability and a proactive approach to managing compliance risk.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement monitoring plans and thematic reviews aligned to the firm’s risk priorities.
  • Evaluate control frameworks across core business areas and investment products to ensure effectiveness.
  • Highlight compliance concerns, escalate where necessary, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Prepare clear, actionable reports summarising findings and agreed remediation steps for senior stakeholders.
  • Drive improvements in compliance monitoring techniques and reporting processes.
  • Support strategic initiatives and help integrate data-driven insights into oversight activities.
  • Build collaborative relationships with compliance colleagues and business leaders globally.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for compliance queries and provide guidance across the organisation.
  • Keep up to date with regulatory changes and assess their impact on operations.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

About You

  • Previous experience in compliance monitoring or assurance within financial services, ideally asset management.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (FCA, UCITS/AIFMD, MiFID; global exposure is an advantage).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Knowledge of data analytics or visualisation tools is desirable.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., ICA, CFA, MBA) would be beneficial.

Why This Opportunity?

Join a forward-thinking compliance team with a global remit. You’ll gain exposure to diverse regulatory environments, contribute to innovative oversight practices, and play a key role in shaping the organisation’s approach to managing compliance risk.

A fantastic opportunity to progress in a dynamic, client focussed environment!
