Senior Construction Project Manager – Airfield – Gatwick Airport
A UK Construction and Engineering Consultancy is seeking a client facing Senior Project Manager to work with Gatwick Airport’s major projects team.
The role is based at Gatwick – embedded with the airport team - on a hybrid basis, with Tuesday to Thursday on site.
The role would particularly suit an experienced Construction Project Manager with prior knowledge of both NEC4 (PSC/ECC) and Design Purchase Order / Construction Purchase Order (DPO/CPO) contracts.
The Senior Construction Project Manager role
The successful Senior Construction Project Manager will join a dynamic, fast paced, family feel construction team at Gatwick Airport. You will be dealing with different stakeholders and need to be comfortable accepting the client procedures.
The current focus is on the extension of an existing taxiway to allow more “junctions” to increase the efficiency of the existing airfield, and additional push and hold stands, involving the creation of holding stands to allow quick movements on the airfield to runway.
* Cost planning and cost reporting.
* Tendering & management of surveys and investigation contracts
* Tendering & management of RIBA 1-4 civils design. Tender will be issued to existing framework designers
* 6-9 months down the line, tendering and management of works contractor based on NEC4 contract
