Rate: up to £700 per day (Umbrella)

Security Clearance: Active SC clearance required


The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to lead delivery on a high-profile project within the built environment sector in London. This is a pivotal role requiring strong technical, commercial, and stakeholder management expertise to ensure successful delivery across complex contractor and design environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the successful delivery of a major construction project from inception through to completion
  • Manage and hold contractors accountable for programme, cost, and quality performance
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the project remains on track
  • Act as the primary interface between the client and design teams (architects and engineers)
  • Coordinate across contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders
  • Deliver clear and consistent reporting to senior leadership


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Owning the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and close-out
  • Developing and maintaining robust project plans covering scope, cost, schedule, and resources
  • Monitoring progress and performance, taking corrective action where needed
  • Managing change control processes and ensuring governance is maintained
  • Leading stakeholder engagement at a senior level
  • Driving collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
  • Ensuring all Health & Safety standards and regulations are upheld


Essential Experience

  • Significant experience operating as a Senior Project Manager or Project Director within the built environment
  • Strong technical understanding of construction delivery and methodologies
  • Proven financial and commercial management capability
  • Experience working with contract frameworks such as JCT and NEC
  • Advanced knowledge of project scheduling tools (e.g. Primavera, MS Project)
  • Expert understanding of UK construction Health & Safety regulations
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership skills


Mandatory Requirement

  • Active SC Clearance (applications without this cannot be considered)


Interview Process

  • Two-stage interview process:
  • Stage 1: Experience-led interview with the project team
  • Stage 2: Final interview with senior leadership
