Job Description
Workday Senior Consultant is expected to be proficient in implementing IT/business solutions in Workday HCM, building integrations, reports, and customizing business processes using native Workday tools.
In the role of Workday Senior Consultant, you are expected to have experience in Workday production support, including researching and resolving system problems and process flaws, recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet business objectives. You should have experience in HCM modules (Core HR, Compensation, Recruitment, Benefits, Payroll, etc.) and strong hands‑on experience with Workday technologies: Enterprise Interface Builder, Advanced Report Writer, Cloud Connect, Business Process Framework, Configurable Security, Calculated Fields, Custom Fields, XML/XSLT, Studio, BIRT Reporting, and data analytics.
You anchor the engagement effort for assignments, from business process consulting and problem definition to solution design, development, and deployment. You are pivotal in problem definition, discovery of the overall solution and guide teams on project processes and deliverables, serving as the key advisor to architecture and design reviews. You anchor business pursuit initiatives, client training, and in‑house capability building, shaping value‑adding consulting solutions that enable clients to meet changing global needs.
Responsibilities
Relevant experience in implementation, roll‑out, upgrade and support projects related to Workday HCM applications.
Proficient in implementing IT/business solutions in Workday HCM, building integrations, reports, and customizing business processes using native Workday tools.
Proficient in running reports to detect changes in the system from time to time.
Proficient in performance‑tuning of reports and integration codes.
Strong hands‑on experience with Workday technologies – Enterprise Interface Builder, Advanced Report Writer, Cloud Connect (PICOF, PECI, CCW, CCB), Business Process Framework, Configurable Security, Calculated Fields, Custom Fields, XML/XSLT, Studio, BIRT Reporting & data analytics.
Able to translate business requirements to technical solutions.
Experience in Workday production support, including researching and resolving system problems, unexpected results or process flaws, and recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet business objectives.
Experience in troubleshooting data issues/corrections, Workday reporting and analytics, and security configurations and changes.
Develop and document technical specifications, develop test conditions, conduct acceptance testing, and implement solutions. Help troubleshoot issues and processes and aggressively drive toward resolutions.
Must be knowledgeable in Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps methodologies.
Identifying and addressing client needs, building solid relationships with clients and communicating with the client in an organized and knowledgeable manner.
Knowledge and experience with full SDLC and support lifecycle, including experience in testing process across the project phases.
Candidate should be proficient in all the delivered HCM processes and reports, and suggest best practices.
Required
Minimum 7 years of experience as a Workday consultant.
Preferred
Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to data accuracy.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
Experience with Agile or Waterfall project methodologies.
Knowledge of Workday security is a plus.
