Position: Senior Contracts Advisor

Location: Kingston upon Thames (Must be able to do 3 days in the office per week)

Contract Duration: Until Q1 2027

Engagement: Outside IR35

Start Date: To start within 2-4 weeks notice if shortlisted for interview.


Airswift is proud to be partnering with a leading global engineering and construction company to recruit a Senior Contracts Advisor for a long-term contract opportunity. This is a fantastic chance to join a high-performing team supporting complex, high-value projects across the energy and infrastructure sectors.


About the Role

you will be involved in negotiating with external parties and managing comprehensive contract activities, including analysis, drafting, and qualification. You will also support internal teams in tendering and project execution while coordinating with key corporate departments to ensure alignment and efficiency, reporting directly to the Head of Contract Management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support contract negotiations with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Draft, review, and qualify complex commercial contracts.
  • Advise internal teams during tendering and project delivery phases.
  • Ensure compliance with internal contracting standards and risk frameworks.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and business partner across the organisation.
  • Contribute to successful project outcomes by mitigating risks and maximising value.


What We’re Looking For

  • 5–10 years of experience in a similar contracts or legal advisory role.
  • Law degree or equivalent legal qualification.
  • Strong command of professional English, especially in legal writing.
  • In-depth knowledge of:
  • LOGIC, FIDIC, Incoterms
  • Common and civil law systems
  • Norwegian Law (preferred)
  • Experience with EPC contracts, offshore platforms, subsea installations, or similar.
  • Strategic thinker with strong risk assessment and commercial acumen.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in contract drafting and compliance.

  • Must be UK-based with full, permanent right to work (no sponsorship available).
