An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Contracts Manager position at Cornwall Partnership Foundation Trust on a 12 month fixed term contract.

This is a high profile post that is integral to the success of the organisation. The post holder will be expected to act in the role of both a Provider Contracts Manager and a Contracts Manager where CFT subcontracts services to third party organisations.
Main duties of the job
What will you achieve in the role?
The Senior Contracts Manager will provide a key supporting role within the Trust for the delivery of the contracting function; this is a high profile post that is integral to the success of the organisation. The job holder will be expected to act in the role of both a Provider Contracts Manager, and a Contracts Manager where CFT subcontracts services to third party organisations.
The job holder will be expected to work with senior managers within the organisation and with external bodies both within the NHS commissioning milieu (ICB, NHS England and Local Authorities), and with third party clinical services providers where the Trust sub-contracts these services. These third party providers may be other NHS providers, private / independent sector providers, or third sector providers
The Job Holder Will Support The Deputy Chief Finance Officer In Leading The Contracts Function For The Trust, Ensuring That Appropriate Contract Governance And Legal Arrangements Are In Place, And By Undertaking Continual Evaluation Of The Contracts Function To Ensure That The Team Is Agile And Responsive, By
- Implementing robust processes for clinical services subcontracts due diligence, and for an ongoing the contract quality and performance monitoring framework
- Conducting ongoing systematic reviews of all clinical contracts, including subcontracts, to support internal and external assurance processes, with respect to safety, quality, performance and financial value, agreeing any required changes with all parties
- Ensuring that there are robust systems in place for recording, monitoring and reporting on the multifactorial elements of contracts and the associated risks, working to improve assurance and mitigate risks
- Developing CFTs approach to contracting so that it supports the delivery of the Trust Strategy,
- Working with colleagues across the trust to build capability and understanding of roles and responsibilities around contracting for clinical services.

- Educated to Masters level or equivalent relevant experience
- Post-graduate qualification or significant experience in contracting
- Highly developed analytical and comparison skills and the ability to interpret highly complex and sensitive information from a wide range of sources
