An exciting opportunity to join the Cost Management team working in the Private Commercial Sector working in a seconded CMO (Cost Management Office)/PMO (Programme Management Office) role within one of our global Corporate real estate clients. The role will involve supporting the Cost/Commercial PMO lead across a full range of benchmarking, capital planning, project budgeting, forecasting and strategic procurement services. Please Note: The role will be based in a client office in London.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing consistent cost management and reporting across multiple projects with the Commercial Lead.
- Overseeing cost planning, benchmarking, procurement, cashflow, contract and claims governance.
- Maintaining and enhance cost and commercial databases, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
- Monitoring budgets, accruals, contingencies, risks and change control against agreed baselines.
- Analysing project trends through dashboards and reporting tools to inform decision‑making.
- Building reliable forecasts and benchmarks to measure programme performance.
- Managing and developing Cost Consultants, driving high performance and continuous improvement.
- Strengthening stakeholder relationships and support net‑zero ambitions through responsible delivery.
You’ll need to have:
- Degree in cost management or quantity surveying; professional membership (e.g., MRICS) preferred.
- Strong expertise in cost planning, data analysis, Excel, and large cost datasets.
- Proven stakeholder engagement, negotiation, communication, and problem‑solving capability.
- Knowledge of sector best practice, sustainability principles, and Capex/Opex commercial analysis.
